Small Farmer Development Campaign
In 1975 Nepal Government and International Organization's seminar started Small Farmer Development Program in Nepal with aim to progress the economic condition of rural poverty.
Agricultural Development Bank Limited expensed this program in 652 V.D.C. including 0.21 Million small farmer family.
In the process of development of this campaign the necessary of small farmers participation in leading role was felt. In fiscal year 2050/051 B.S. ADBL operated Small Farmer Cooperative Limited under self control and management and full involvement of local small farmers.
Sana Kisan Bikas Lagubita Bittya sasthan Limited was established in 2058 B.S. Ashad 22.
Small Farmer Agricultural Cooperative Ltd. Meghauli
This cooperative was also a part of small farmer development campaign. It was expansed by ADBL under Small Farmer Development Campaign and was handover to the local people of Bharatpur Metropolitan 27 and 28 (Meghauli V.D.C.). It was established on 2053 B.S. Baishak 1st. Today this cooperative work area are Bharatpur Metropolita 27 and 28. There are 13 inter-set and each inter-set is collection of sets. A set is collection of 5 or more than 5 shareholder members. The shareholder elects BOD among them which have 3 years duration. There are 13 BOD members.
